Founded in 1998 in memory of Dr. Curtiss E. Tate who was an avid martial artist. The purpose fund is to award annual college scholarships to Martial Arts Students. Applicants must be an current (active 2 years) martial artist (or child of) at USA Martial Arts in Woodbury or Naugatuck or at a Park & Rec. Karate program in Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Washington, Warren or Roxbury. The current award is for $1,500.00.

Lions club will be meeting at various restaurants on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities.
