The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to serve others by helping to instill value in young people and prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime in achieving their full potential.

Founded in 1998 in memory of Dr. Curtiss E. Tate who was an avid martial artist. The purpose fund is to award annual college scholarships to Martial Arts Students. Applicants must be an current (active 2 years) martial artist (or child of) at USA Martial Arts in Woodbury or Naugatuck or at a Park & Rec. Karate program in Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Washington, Warren or Roxbury. The current award is for $1,500.00.

Lions club will be meeting at various restaurants on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. Today with more than 46,000 clubs in 192 countries and geographical areas, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever-increasing needs of our global community.

The purpose of this association shall be to help develop Christian values and improve the quality of life in Woodbury by involving individuals and families in programs that develop Spirit, Mind, and Body.
